Not “just technique” — and not “just art” either

Honestly, it bothers me when I hear that pole dance is “not just technique.”

Not because it’s entirely wrong.
But because it often sounds like technique is something secondary. Something optional. Something you could skip.

But it’s not.

Technique is not the opposite of art.
Technique is the foundation of it.

“I’ll lose weight first, and then I’ll start pole dancing.”

And my answer is always the same:
